𝗗𝗿. 𝗜𝘃𝗮𝗻 𝗘𝗱𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 is an ordained minister, medical doctor, award-winning poet, and senior officer in the U.S. Air Force Reserve.

He earned his medical degree from Midwestern University after completing undergraduate studies at Rivier University. He interned at Eastern Virginia Medical School before specializing in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He later received advanced training as a flight surgeon at the USAF School of Aerospace Medicine.

Board-certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Dr. Edwards leads a practice focused on neurorehabilitation and comprehensive pain management. He is the CEO and founder of Jovana Rehabilitation Medicine & Pain, based in San Antonio, Texas, where he champions a holistic approach to care—restoring patients to optimal function and well-being.

Beyond medicine and military service, Dr. Edwards is a prolific writer, public speaker, and community advocate. His poetry—published in 𝘗𝘰𝘦𝘵𝘴 𝘊𝘩𝘰𝘪𝘤𝘦, 𝘗𝘰𝘦𝘵𝘳𝘺𝘚𝘰𝘶𝘱, and other platforms—explores themes of healing, resilience, perseverance, and cultural reflection. His anthology, 𝘙𝘦𝘴𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘚𝘰𝘶𝘭 – 𝘍𝘭𝘰𝘸𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘏𝘢𝘳𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘪𝘤𝘴, received the 𝗟𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗧𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗻 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗼𝗲𝘁𝗿𝘆 in September 2025 and was named a 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐝 𝐅𝐚𝐯𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝, further affirming its emotional clarity and artistic depth. He also produces spoken word performances and open discussions on legacy, healing, and inspiration through his YouTube channel, 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘊𝘰𝘯𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘨𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘗𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘵 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘋𝘳. 𝘐𝘷𝘢𝘯 𝘌𝘥𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘥𝘴. Dr. Edwards is deeply committed to humanitarian work, including support for educational programs benefiting orphaned and displaced children in Uganda. He has worked extensively with veterans across hospitals in San Antonio and frequently leads interdisciplinary symposiums on resilience and recovery.
